Purgatory is a temporary condition of torment or suffering, a place where you wait for however long depending on how much you sinned

I just had an epiphany...

It's strange that people refer to purgatory, and then joke about how earth is the purgatory we are supposed to be suffering. If one looks at this with an open mind, and no, this is not my viewpoint, but merely a suggestion...

Earth can easily be seen as a form of purgatory. We are not here for some exact amount of time. We are here for so long, then die, and in a sense, leave. I'm unsure of some other realm in which we sin to make it here, but it does get one thinking.

There is the belief people are born with original sin that only baptism can erase. So if an unbaptised baby dies it is believed that they go to purgatory.

Oh and on Family Guy where they take a vacation to purgatory haha.

Did it hurt? (sorry bad joke)

I think you are right Batman, I was christened or whatever you want to call it. Maybe it does erase your sins.

And I have to see that Family Guy episode

Its one of those flashback things. I love them. In the movie where Stewie has a flashback of a cave.

Indiana Jones: Now short round don't touch anything
Stewie (Short Round- Chinese looking Stewie) Okay Doctor Jones I no touch anything (hits switch, spikes fall from ceiling)
(Characters scream)
Stewie: Lady only here coz she humping director.

Hehe. But yeah that original sin thing I mentioned is actually what many Christians believe.
