“No matter how good you are at something, there's always about a million people better than you.” Homer Simpson.

It’s not exactly high on the optimism scale, but it’s one of my favourites from The Simpsons.
I know where I'm going and I know the truth, and I don't have to be what you want me to be. I'm free to be what I want.

"Anything that happens, happens.
Anything that, in happening, causes something else to happen, causes something else to happen.
Anything that, in happening, causes it self to happen again, happens again.
It doesn't neccessarily do it in chronological order, though..."
Douglas Adams, "Mostly Harmless"

Same Revan lol, I quote BASEketball, Trey (Joe) Matt (Doug)

(Doug shows Squeak his bed, its a nice big couch)
Squeak: Oh thats pretty sweet, does this couch fold out into a bed?
Doug: Yeah totally awesome bed, but thats Jenkins (the dog) bed your bed is over here (Points to kennel)
Squeak: Dude that is so ****ing weak, how am I supposed to get a chick in that
(Joe enters eating cereal)
Joe: Oh don't worry you couldn't get a chick if you had a 100 dollar bill sticking out your zipper
Squeak: (Thinks) Yeah I could!
Doug: No, dude your a little bitch
Squeak: No I'm not, dude I don't see why I hang out with you guys
Joe: Because your a piece of $%^&*
Squeak (Turns round really fast looking at Joe defiantly) I am not a piece of $%^&*
Doug: Yeah but your a little bitch.

Quality lol.

Bump.

"People who are always wondering how they're doing are like tourist photographers who exert so much effort taking pictures that they can't even see what they're looking at." - Tim Sandlin

"A single event can awaken within us a stranger totally unknown to us. To live is to be slowly born." -Antoine de Saint-Exupery

"If artists and poets are unhappy, it is after all because happiness does not interest them." -George Santayana

"When you are a writer, you no longer see things with the freshness of a normal person. There are always two figures that work inside you, and if you are at all intelligent you realize that you have lost something. But I think there has always been this dichotomy in a real writer. He wants to be terribly human, and he responds emotionally, but at the same time there's this cold observer who cannot cry." -Brian Moore

"Every writer, without exception, is a masochist, a sadist, a peeping Tom, an exhibitionist, a narcissist, an injustice collector and a depressed person constantly haunted by fears of unproductivity." -Edmund Bergler
