this will be a tournement of video game characters in fictional battles.
We will make one topic per battle, then when its resolved we then post the results in the main topic here, at the end one character will be the strongest of them all.
The rules are as follows
1. You should have an understanding of what the characters in the battle are capable of.
2. In order to vote, you must make a minimum of 15 sentence description of what their battle would be like, and it has to be plausable.

while most characters have unique powers, there are weird ones shared by many video game characters, these are.
PHASING: any hero with phasing has the ability to phase in and out of the current dimension they are in. it is usually a defense mechanism, problem is, it triggers a tad too late. A hero after he is hit will then start to phase in and out, and therefore will appear to be blinking rapidly. During this time he is immune to all attacks.
DAMAGE EQUILIZER: it doesnt matter if your rubbing against the smooth shell of a koopa, or taking a nuclear missle at point blank, it will all do the same damage.

So here is the ladder for now, winners will climb up and face the person next to them like a traditional tourny.
1. Master Chief Vs. Mario
2. Sonic Vs. Snake

3. Samus Vs. Dante
4. Link Vs. Kirby

What to we do? Does one person get 1 character and another gets another character and then we Role Play the battle?

Is it limited to one person-one character or is it just that whoever posts can make a move for the next character's turn?

Not enough info on what we do. :/ Maybe you should do an example battle or something.


Also, would one of the gaming mods be so kind as to pin this since it's a tourny? I would but lacking in the general area of powers :P

this is basically voting, and each person can vote once. But in order to vote, you have to make a very good story of how the battle goes basically, from start to finish.
Most characters can come to battle in a variety of states of power, you should try to balance them out in those situations.
If you decided to give sonic all the chaos emeralds, you should then lets say give samus a Phason suit and a steady supply of phason to own with.
Otherwise, just tell a good tale, and it'll earn the person that is the victor in your tale one victory point. If its not a good tale its worth nothing
