The L-Block from Tetris has defied all odds and has emerged victorious in Gamefaq's six annual character battle. It would seem opponents as worthy as Mario, Solid Snake, Master Chief, Cloud, Sephiroth, Link and many other greats such as these would beat this humble block but to everyone's surprise he managed to pull through.

And to celebrate his victory Gamefaqs has arranged another battle for him: he now faces the Pong paddle, the weighted Companion Cube and the '?' block from the various Super Mario games. Will he win? Can he possibly take on these giants of... um... other.. simple... shapes? This will truly be an epic battle - a one in lifetime chance. The L-Block will undoubtedly have to use everything he has got and take to 'em. Stick around and find out whether he'll win or not, the results will surely shock and amaze you.

I've been keeping up with the character battle as well. I was hoping for L-Block to win, and was voting for him every time (except against samus).

Now he's won, but the "?"-block is winning the battle so far today.

That says quite a bit about us gamers, we value a good old inanimate object over any real character. *points to avatar* I voted for my Companion Cube btw.

Sorrow. Sorrow, people. The L-block has lost this final match. The '?' block proved more than a worthy adversary beating the L-block by 11.38%. This is truly the saddest day ever, for without the pure teachings of the L-block we are all doomed to the genocidal maniac that is the '?' block.

Awww. I didnt get to vote. I would have voted for the '?' block though. Its Marginally better than the L block
