so I finially got mario kart wii. Its been out like two weeks now so I should have got it earlier. But anyway, have you guys got it and if so, what do you think? I've only played a little bit of it so far but I'm liking the new tracks. I'm also glad they brought back the jump drift. The lack of a jump in the gamecube version was really anoying, but you got used to it after a while. The jump is still better though. Also, the new battle mode is shite . There doesnt seem to be a way to just have one on one. Unless I missed some setting. If only played battle about 3 times, and two of those were online

Also, what are your friend codes so we can get some online cfion going.? What times are you usually good for playng too?

I also have mario football and medal of honour heroes 2 if you want to game on those as well. No sure if I have any other online games though. But still, what'r your friend codes and how do I find mine?

I didn’t buy the game, just played it over at a mate’s house. I didn’t find it to be anything special, just more of the same. Granted, it’s more of the same good gameplay, but nothing worthy of shelling(no pun intended) out more of my funds to buy it. I do admit, I had a urge to get it just to freak people out online with racing my Michael Jackson mii.

The exclusion of the character specialty weapons from double dash, which I found fun and minorly strategic, was big downer for me. In their stead, they tossed in a few more items which only add to the mass of last to first place switch-a-roos. Including bikes was an interesting twist, though the logic behind it is a bit flawed, and I quote… “I thought we could make the world of Mario a little more for boys, so I agreed right away about adding motorbikes to Mario Kart Wii.” - Shigeru Miyamoto

Do you mean the spiky blue shell that hits you hard when you are first? There are way too many of them, there were in the DS version too. They weren't that common in N64 version (Quite rightly so I hate catch up logic.) I was first for a whole race and I got hit by (no joke) 5 blue shells and 6 red shells in ONE lap. I still come first and win but those shells annoys me, it sounds petty but in my eyes they make the difference between this being good instead of brilliant.

Also, yeah those blue shells annoy me too. but i dont think they should be gone from the game altogether just because of it. they are dodgable you know. I'v yet to do it on the Wii but on the gamecube it was possible. It took exactly the right timing though. My brothers used to do it all the time on me.
