Man there's been a few hot titles over the years. Soul Calibur, Dead or Alive to name a few
but to the point what do you think is the best of these fighting game giants and why.
I personally pick SC because of its awesome variety and depth plus the characters are all likable
unlike a few fighting games I have came across and the weapon fighting is one of the best ever created as well.

What do y'all think is the best fighting game ever?

I've always liked the Tekken and Mortal Kombat games. I can't really choose between them.

but out of those choices, I would be cut between Tekken, (3 was the greatest non-smash bros fighter ever), Soul Calibur because it has a few very good games, or Dead or Alive for boobies galore.

Tekken hands down. The fighting is better in my opinion, it is more fun to play and i actually give a damn about the story. It is just all in all the superior fighting game as far as I'm concerned and the king of the beat em' up.
Tekken 3 was one of my favourite games and 4 and 5 were awesome as well. The first 2 were good and old school back in the day as well.

Street fighter was excelent when I was young - before the computers on playing machines

Maybe I need to buy another game from that series... did someone know if this game is available for PS or WII?

Are you kidding me Lee....Street Fighter 2 alpha blah blah blah blah.....

Street Fight 2 Turbo is where its at. The original and best. All those other pretenders to the Street fight throne are null and void when it comes to street fighter 2 turbo. It is the first and best proper street fighter game and is still the best street fight game. I will guarantee you that if you get out a snes with street fighter 2 turbo and and xbox 360 with Street Fighter 2 Alpha Turbo HD remix.....everyone will be playing 2 turbo. It is THE best street fighter and always will be. No street fight has come close to the pure fun and excellence that is 2 turbo. Maybe you're too young to remember it, but if you ask anyone who has played it and remember is....they will confirm that what i say is true. To this day i have not come across a better fight yet.
