So what concerts have people seen recently? Tell who was playing, what you thought of the concert and anything else you think deserves mention.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I' ve seen two recently. One was by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, putting on a show called 'Distant Worlds' which is a compilation of Final Fantasy songs by a full symphony. It was bloody epic, and it was in one of the nicest venues in Vancouver. The place makes the Sistine Chapel look mediocre. In addition to that we had Dress Row seats, so upper level, second row. Some of the best seats in the house. The show was incredibly well put together and the orchestra really knew their stuff.
Before this me and a friend went to see Dragonforce and Sonata Artica at one of the other amazing venues ion downtown. It's the second time I've seen Dragonforce in concert, the first was at their North American premier show at Ozzfest down in Seattle in 06' They were not very good at Ozzfest, but blew me away at the concert here at home in Van.
On the complete OPPOSITE end of the spectrum, the last concert I went to was in Hollywood, at the Whisky a Go-Go. We went to see a band called Get Scared. They are a type of rock, grungy, halloween type band.
The bar was small, but it has a history to it. The Doors practically lived there for a long time. Anyways, they were better than I thought they would be, and we got to talk to them during and after the show, since they are still pretty small-time.
I was at an Infected Mushroom concert. Essentially a bunch of DJs creating a rave in one of the finer establishments around Vancouver. The bass was intense enough to move our beers around the table.
