I'm from West Virginia, and its our tradition to explain things we don't understand through mystical stories. There are so many stories.. Moth Man, Greenbrier Ghost... then hundreds of general ghost stories. Oh, and Bat Boy! My favorite though is a tradition passed into some Irish and Scottish West Virginian families from the "Homelands."
Every clan, or family, of Irish or Scottish descent has a banshee. This banshee is sometimes described as a pale woman in a cloak with red hair and blood red eyes with a scream to pierce ears. She arrives to warn family members when their loved ones are about to die within the family. Sometimes she talks, sometimes shes quiet, she almost always screams... Sometimes she also has a dark black carriage.

Yes banshees maybe theyre real maybe not but if there are where do they live? do they ever loose there voice from all the screaming? i live on the isle of man next to scottland and there is a few peeps in my school from scottland but they arent very superstitious. im not sure whether they are real or not but stories like that are pretty cool to hear. if they do exist maybe we shouldnt know people who look too deep find more than they would like to. its just another of lifes mysteries like loch ness "
woooooooooo*cough*oooo......ah sod it il haunt another house"
if ghosts can pass through walls why cant i?!?!?!?!
