The story of *bum bum bum* THE MARSH MAN I heard it at Camp High Hope, when I was in the 6 grade, *deep breath* ok, here goes: unsure.gif *gulp*
An couple in their 30s lived in a big house, on a farm, near a marsh. The man wanted to work late planting the crops, as it was nearing winter. So the woman waited a little while before she started supper. The sun was setting as the lady finished the meal, she rang the loud bell to signal that supper was done. The man, however, did not come in. The woman looked out the doorway and could see the outline of his hourse tilling the land. She just assumed that the man wasn't done with his work. 10 mins had passed and and the lady was getting worried,"Maybe he didn't hear the bell," she thought. So she rang the bell again. 10 more mins and now she was getting very worried. She decided to go out and see what had happened. She reached his horse and found the man lieing face-down on the soggy ground, dead, but with no mark of death. The woman went and got the neighbor, but when they returned, the body was gone.
The next day, they decided to find out if maybe the body had somehow been transported into the nearby marsh. They dragged chains through the marsh hopeing to snag the body. Suddenly, the chains were caught on something, they stoped the boat, and attempted to drag them in, by the chains were pulled under the water. The Marsh Man can be heard dragging his chains all over the surronding area.

so... what do ya think?

The story is interesting and I heard lots similar! Maybe the man is stuck between worlds. It could, couldn’t he? huh.gif

Anyway, “The Marsh Man can be heard dragging his chains all over the surrounding area.” This is something that always follows these kinds of stories. This is something that I don’t get: why always has to be hear something? Same as in the Bermuda Triangle where an entire army disappear in the fog and sound of the machines and people voices can be heard time to time! blink.gif huh.gif

Creepy! blink.gif

Correction: Camp High Hope is located near Fremont, Indiana.

Addition: The Marsh Man's House is near Camp High Hope, and I HAVE seen it. There's black designs on the ceiling. It looked feaky unsure.gif I didn't hear or see anything while I was at camp, but my bunk mate swore he saw green lights out the window while we were sleeping.

After the camp guy told the story, he told us what people said they saw or heard. Some heard chains, saw lights, etc. Some even saw flying toilet paper w00t.gif

Camp *HIGH* Hope. Whoa dude.

With a name like that, no wonder ppl are seeing stuff like that.

A desperate situation; Forced to retaliation; The task ahead a burden; Men will suffer, that's for certain.
We'll charge into the fire; The cause, we must inspire; We raise our fist to tyranny; A high price, freedom is not free.
The odds are stacked against us; But with our resolve relentless; An arrogance their weakness;
Our cause is just, we won't be beaten.
Upon this declaration; Will come a grand new nation; Where men are seen as equals; Governed by and for the people.
